Nicholas Vujicic
Nicholas Vujicic, pronounced "Vooy-cheech", was born in 1982 in Brisbane, Australia without arms or legs. Throughout his childhood, Nick struggled with harassment and self-esteem issues, lacking faith in himself. However, he realized that it was about how he perceived his situation and taking control over his circumstances instead of focusing on what he did not have. He has thus proved to himself and to the rest of the world that even with no arms and no legs, he has no limits.
Josiah Viera tiny baseball player
Josiah Viera is 7 years old and has Progeria, which in Greek means "premature aging" or "prematurely old." It is an extremely rare disease in the world, where no cure has yet to be discovered. He is 27 inches tall, weighs 15.5 pounds, and has a life expectancy of 8 to 13 years - however, that doesn’t disturb his passion for baseball. With his pants barely holding on and his hat bouncing around his head, he gets a taste of heaven as he sprints with all his might to reach the bases. As news spread, nearly a thousand people came to cheer Josiah on at the final game of the season. "Even though he has this sickness, he gave it his all."
Sung Bong Choi, Korea's Got Tatent
Sung-Bong Choi was left behind in an orphanage when he was 3 years old, but after being beaten by others, he ran away at the age of 5. For the next ten years, life was extremely challenging as he lived on the streets, sleeping in public places and selling gum and energy drinks to survive. All along and unbeknownst to the rest of the world, he nurtured a beautiful gift; as he shared it on the television show "Korea"s Got Talent," the judges and the audience were awestruck and helplessly in tears. With his powerful voice, the 22-year-old sings out his heart and soul, sharing with us his place of solace. Now a global talent show sensation, he finds it difficult to take it all in but is thankful "because now, I have a reason to live."
